21 Grams (2003)
Once again… Superman: Red Son

Today I’m writing probably the last time about Superman: Red Son. Along with the whole Batman stuff recently I’ve scanned also the very last pages of that comicbook. Thematically it doesn’t go together, therefore I made the decision to spread it particular.
This day we are talking about the historical context between the Superman-family, the house of El, and the rich and powerful family of Luthor. In his elseworlds story Mark Millar, writer of Red Son, took advantage of the Superman creators’ “L-letter-affinity”. Luthor, Lane, Lang, -El, -L… you know.
Let me quote some lines. Original panels below.
Mankind had evolved to become the most advanced species in the known universe, inspired and led by a billion years of the Luthor lineage.
Lena Luthor; the artist, Lombard Luthor; the imaginer, Lori Luth-145; the mathemagician, Jordan Luth-1938 [editor's note: first link to the El’s]; pioneering necronaut and first man to set foot in the afterlife.
Alex-L, Jordan-L, Lana-L and, of course, Lex Luthor’s great-grandson to the power of fifty; a young man called Jor-L whose iq exceeded that of even his beloved ancestor.

Isn’t that exciting? Apart from that we’re talking about an elseworlds story I think the idea isn’t that odd. At least we have an explanation for the relationship between Supergirl and Lex Luthor, because as is well known it’s not that love thing. Lex is a part of Kara’s family and she probably knows it unconscious!
Only if the factor “time” comes into play it’s going to be paradox. THE ancestor of the Luthors (at least in the Superman continuity) cannot meet up with the Last Son of Krypton, youngest member out of the house of El.
Definitely I can say that I’ve read one of the brightest Superman comicbooks of our time. I recommend it absolutely!

Quite a month ago I’ve had shown you some cool parts of Superman: Red Son. Yesterday I found out that DC has made a motion comic out of it. Accidentally, the teaser trailer includes exactly my scanned scenes. Creepy, isn’t it?
You never should have come here, Superman. You should have died in your own world and kept your alien fingers out of human affairs.

Her name is Edéa. She is the prototype of a larger series of android-mannequins that are considered “a bigger, better and much more complex lifeform” by their makers. She works through human blood. Sadly for her, her A.I. resembles a human soul. Sadly for her creators, she got free. Bad for her own spirit, the hunger is slowly driving her mad.

Okay guys, the thing is that I’m currently working on the final design for the BATMAN:golgothik’s Joker. And I’m still not sure which is the best. Therefor, I’ve got a special gift for my dear readers tonight! Not one, but two original Joker drawings, freshly baked in the batpawn’s a(u)rtistic kitchen. So, who is it going to be? Mister ‘Glamourface McFetish’ Clown, or Aleister Clowney? You choose!

Did you notice something? Take a look at the panels. I’ve uploaded more than 140 new Superman images. I wonder always how many masterpieces are there… in the world wide web.
